There are many ways you can get involved...

First of all, make sure you register and update your profile with your latest info so that people can find you more easily. The registration page can be found here.

Obviously visit regularly as news and updates will be posted on the website.

We also occasionally organise social meetings and this is a good chance to do a bit of networking and share ideas with others. You will be notified by email when a meeting will be taking place, so please come along and meet other filmmakers!

The CIFA lot are a talented bunch, if you need help with your project then the first thing to do is just have a look through the people database and see whether you could find someone with the particular skills you're looking for.

If you are still having trouble then please write to us and we will endeavour to find the help you need. Including by email and as an ad on the website.

Getting something filmed...

Of course, you might just want to have something filmed. As a group we have filmed and edited all sorts for people from concerts to contemporary dance shows and wrestling to interviews so we are pretty experienced at it.
So whether you are putting on a show or going to star in your college theatre performance and wants to have it filmed for whatever reason then just let us know at cifa@cambridgefilmmakers.co.uk

Please be as specific as possible in your email. Some typical information we would need are:

• Detailed description of the job
• Information about yourself and how you're involved
• Where and when will the filming take place?
• What will be the payment?*

* This is a difficult one but it really is up to you how much you think is a fair amount the filmers should be compensated for the job. Important things you should consider are when it will take place, the difficulty of the job and how long it is going to be.
